Earthquake!!!

 

   Yesterday, The earthquake of 7.8 classes happen in Sichuan in China,Cause many people death.A lot of regions all was subjected to influence, include my home town, Xian.

    what’s earthquake?

An Earthquake is a sudden, fast shaking of the Earth.
An Earthquake could be the result of a sudden release of energy in the Earths crust that creates Seismic waves.
Seismic waves- is a wave of vibration that travels through Earth and is produced by Earthquakes and Volcanic eruptions.
   I gets news at the time of  the Internet yesterday afternoon, then made a phone call for my home, but had already can’t connect.although the focus wasn’t in Xian, is but the in the mind was still very frightened, worried the parents’ safety.Afternoon 6 o’clocks of the time finally contacts with my mother , the family are also all very safe and I am just rest assured.The earthquake after take place too many people uses a telephone, so make network busy, therefore can’t contact.

    The earthquake this time in Sichuan is very strong, so the cities of periphery all are subjected to influence, creation aftershock,The minority infirm house tumbled down and the many people died.But Chinese people’s everyone is of one mind, make an effort to rush through toward disaster area to save  person, we believe that we can get through a difficulty together.Regardless is what kind of disaster, we all will not be afraid, as long as with one mind join force and then be able to must get through a difficulty.
     Pray the people of disaster area as soon as possible out of the woods, pray my parents peaceful.

 

Mother’s Day

  

   Today is Mother’s Day, this morning i give mother a call and say happy Mother’s Day to her. In this special festival, I really want to thank my mother,She paid a lot of for me in my growth process , i want to tell my mother ,I love her! Although this holidays I can’t return to China,Mother’s Day I also can’t at she nearby, but I will every moment think of her.

    Today i read a story,”A Boy and His Tree”This story lets me have much of emotional stirrings.
　　A long time ago, there was a huge apple tree. A little boy loved to come and play around it every day. He climbed to the tree top, ate the apples, took a nap under the shadow… He loved the tree and the tree loved to play with him.

　　Time went by…The little boy had grown up and he no longer played around the tree.

　　One day, the boy came back to the tree and looked sad. “Come and play with me,” the tree asked the boy.

　　“I am no longer a kid, I don’t play around trees anymore.” The boy replied, “I want toys. I need money to buy them.” “Sorry, but I don’t have money…but you can pick all my apples and sell them. So, you will have money.” The boy was so excited. He picked all the apples on the tree and left happily. The boy didn’t come back after he picked the apples. The tree was sad.

　　One day, the boy returned and the tree was so excited. “Come and play with me.” The tree said. “I don’t have time to play. I have to work for my family. We need a house for shelter. Can you help me?” “Sorry, but I don’t have a house. But you can cut off my branches to build your house.” So the boy cut all the branches of the tree and left happily.

　　The tree was glad to see him happy but the boy didn’t appear since then. The tree was again lonely and sad. One hot summer day, the boy returned and the tree was delighted. “Come and play with me!” the tree said.

　　“I am sad and getting old. I want to go sailing to relax myself. Can you give me a boat?” “Use my trunk to build the boat. You can sail and be happy.” So the boy cut the tree trunk to make a boat. He went sailing and did not show up for a long time.

　　Finally, the boy returned after he left for so many years. “Sorry, my boy. But I don’t have anything for you anymore. No more apples for you.” the tree said. “ I don’t have teeth to bite.” The boy replied. “ No more trunk for you to climb on.” “I am too old for that now.” the boy said. “I really want to give you something…the only thing left is my dying roots.” The tree said with tears. “I don’t need much now, just a place to rest. I am tired after all these years.” The boy replied. “Good! Old tree roots are the best place to lean on and rest. Come here, please sit down with me and have a rest.” The boy sat down and the tree was glad and smiled with tears…

　　This is a story of everyone. The tree is our parent. When we were young, we loved to play with Mom and Dad… When we grow up, we leave them, and only come to them when we need something or when we are in trouble. No matter what, parents will always be there and give everything they could to make you happy. You may think that the boy is cruel to the tree but that’s how all of us are treating our parents.

Some concerning English education feelings

   

    I am chinese student,but I am interesting in English, so I choose English education and learn this in university. Ended this semester, pass to study I have a lot of feelings.

     
     Educate very main in the process of developping the next generation,Regardless educate in Malaysia still in China is all very important.English eduction refer to  learning English as second language, learning strategy, classroom management, thinking skills and so on.

     learning English as second language often means learn English using resources including English grammar explanion, or learn about the vocabulary used to describe what you want to describe.Usually use at the knowledge in the first language transfer the study of the second language.

     learning Language learning strageties — specific actions, behaviours, steps, or techniques that students (often intentionally) use to improve their progress in developing L2 skills. These strageties can facilitate the internalization, storage, retrieval, or use of the new language. Strategies are tools for the self-directed involvement necessary for developing communicative ability. (Oxford, 1992/1993, p. 18). learning stragrties often have 4 main strageties, they are listening, reading, speaking,and writing.Listening is a very important learning strategy. How to listen? In our opinion, let the English voice surround you.The more you listen to, the more you will get.Language is to say, to express, and to communicate. That is the real purpose we study language. So speaking is also a very important learning strategy.you will get lots of English information form reading.may be writing can improve learner’s express ability.

classroom management also inprotant.Involves creating optimum conditions for the business of teaching and learning,involves managing the learning environment and organizing students so that the activities planned may be carried out effectively.

 

Thinking skills was once thought that the teaching of thinking skills was not a possibility, since they were believed to be innate. As these tools were developed they were then believed to be appropriate mostly for more intelligent or more advanced learners. Now we understand that the skills of problem-solving, analysis, synthesis, creativity, evaluation, and other higher order thinking processes can be taught and learned, even by those considered to be less able than their peers. Most of these tools can be embedded into the teaching of any subject, and many can be facilitated through specific software programs. As students use computers as tools to learn, they also exercise their thinking by learning how to ask the right questions, pursue research on the Internet, and evaluate their sources of information.

 

English education have so many knowledge, and I am insterating in them, I will try my best and  word hard in the future. I also love children, I hope that I can become an excellent teacher,Educate students with the knowledge learn by me, let to acquire more.I know this to be a not easy affair, but I will make great effort to attain.

I like my school very much, I would in next time in enjoy my study life well.

      

 

Make an effort

   today, i attended examination, Having a question among them is differentiate cognitive and meta-cognitive.I feel my answer is not well, so I when i come back i want to fond some information about this. I think this information is useful.

Learning is primarily a cognitive function. All information we receive must be processed with a variety of cognitive skills. Try this exercise. Refer to the Learning Model to better understand the learning process.

To begin, as fast as you can, spell your first name out loud. . .

Let’s examine the cognitive skills it took to complete this simple task. To do this, Input came as you read or heard the instructions, “Spell your first name out loud.” As a part of Active Processing, you gave Attention to the request, held it in your Working Memory, and began to Process it. You then chose to respond to it. You made the internal, executive Decision that this was an easy request; one that you didn’t really need to think about, because you already had the answer stored in your Knowledge Bank. You drew the appropriate information (the spelling of your name) directly from your Knowledge Bank and spoke it as Output without hesitation. This enabled you to handle this exercise quickly and easily because it was previously Known or familiar information.

     Although this problem what I answer isn’t very good, later I will make great effort more.

About myself

        Malaysia is a beautiful nation and I am very happy to study at university here.Time that study in the UKM this more than a years, let me lead of very happy.

        We studied  malaysia dance this semester, I felt to be a very nice course, call in the process of the study I also understood a lot of culture about malaysia.
 

        This semester we learn 3 dance.they are Inang , Zapin,and  Joget.

        Inang dance was popular during the Malacca Sultanate era .these were performed inside the palaces. Mak Inang song was specially crated to accompany this dance during the Sultan Mahmud Shah era. Today , this dance has become the folk dance and is performed in social gathering.Inang dance is also referred to as Tarian Si Kembang Cina, At times, dances carry with them long scarfs and the musical instrumennt used are rebaba biola ,gong,and many more.

     Zapin dance can be seen in many Malaysian festivats and is believed to be originated form Persia. A ccompanied by musical instruments such as gambus and marwas, dancers use a lot of feet movement. In the post ,this dance was normally performed during wedding celebrations but today zapin dance is performed in festivals.

    Joget dance is a well-known dance in Malaysia and is accepted as the social dance for all races and levels of society. Joget orignated form Porugese dance,Branyo.This dance is easy to learn and perform and that is the main reason why it is so popular in Malaysia.

     In the choreographic performance expect end, I jump of dance is Zapin.

 

About this course

   THINKING SKILLS IN EDUCATION is a very important course in our study.  what is  thinking?Thinking is a mental process. Thinking skills are the intellectual skills such as the skills of memorizing and recalling facts and information, clarifying, making analysis, generating ideas, making decisions, problem solving, and planning.

  This course church we make use of thinking skills and study medium. for a student, the thinking skills is a kind of important technique, is also a kind of have to of technique.For example in the study of language, usage thinking skills for language of acquire an important function.Its church we are after obtain related information, how analyze an information,(is divided into the information small part then go to thorough analysis, ) evaluate an information,(what is an useful information) , and establish a new information(will have already analyze the information of evaluate the empress re- establishes for oneself need of), this a series of the processes all made use of thinking skills.

      so ,I think thinking skills is very improtant skills.Study this course will study other courses to contain very great help to us.

      about this couse in my opinion,I hope hope teacher give more of our interaction, transfer our interest in the studies, or organize group work more to let the student study in mutually the help, make us better to make use of this curricular of knowledge.
